"34M with 35% flame burns & inhalation injury."
Patient History
A 38-year-old male Restaurant Cook presents with Severe burns all over my chest and arms and I cannot breathe properly after a cooking gas cylinder exploded in the kitchen about 40 minutes ago.. About 40 minutes ago. I was cooking in the restaurant kitchen when the gas cylinder caught fire and exploded. The flames hit my chest, arms, and back. I was trapped in the smoke for several minutes before my colleagues pulled me out.
Clinical Examination & Labs
My skin is burning terribly. My chest and arms are the worst. I am finding it very hard to breathe and my voice has changed. I feel like my throat is swelling up. I also feel very thirsty and dizzy.
