Patient History
A 28-year-old male IT Software Developer presents with My nose has been completely blocked for the last 3 months, I keep sneezing in the morning, and I feel a constant heaviness and pressure around my cheeks and forehead. I also have thick mucus dripping down the back of my throat.. The sneezing and runny nose started about 2 years ago, mostly during the spring season. But for the last 3 months it has become constant — blocked nose all day, thick mucus, and heaviness over my face that does not go away.
Clinical Examination & Labs
Both nostrils are blocked, but sometimes the left side is worse than the right. In the mornings I have violent sneezing fits, sometimes 10-15 sneezes in a row, and then my nose runs like a tap with clear watery discharge. Later in the day the discharge becomes thick and yellowish-green and drips down behind my throat.
