Patient History

A 45-year-old male Construction Site Supervisor presents with Very high fever with intense shaking and chills for 5 days, my eyes have turned yellow, and my urine has become very dark like tea. I feel confused and extremely weak since this morning.. The fever started about 5 days ago. It comes and goes — I feel fine for a few hours and then suddenly start shaking uncontrollably and the fever shoots up very high. Today is the worst — I feel confused and cannot think clearly.

Clinical Examination & Labs

The fever comes in waves. First I start shivering violently like I am in a cold room, then the fever goes very high and I sweat a lot. After sweating the fever comes down, but it returns again. My whole body aches terribly during the fever.
